Sarah
Sarah (she/her) takes a multidisciplinary and holistic approach to working with a range of clients and concerns, bringing in a warm, non-judgemental, and person-centred empathetic approach to suit the individual person’s needs and goals in therapy.Sarah has experience working across several presentations such as but not limited to: depression, anxiety, stress, family issues, substance-related issues, trauma-related, neurodevelopmental, and personality disorders. Sarah can complete ADHD assessments for both adults and children and provides ongoing ADHD symptom management for adults. Sarah is also trained in cognitive assessments for children and adults. Sarah currently works mainly with ages 17+ due to availabilities.Sarah has experience working with Workcover, TAC, NDIS, Medicare, and private health clients, where she advocates for her client’s best interest and best treatment outcome, collaboratively with the client and other third-party organisations. Sarah has previously worked in private practice and primary to secondary schools where she has co-facilitated social skills training groups for primary aged children, has run an online mindfulness program during the COVID-19 pandemic, and is currently completing additional training to become a Clinical Psychologist.Sarah is trained in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Dialectical-Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based practices, Motivational Interviewing (MI), as well as trauma-informed practices. Sarah also enjoys incorporating other alternative techniques to mental health and wellbeing such as art and music therapy and has a passion for the benefits of animals on mental health.Sarah has her Bachelor of Psychological Studies and Honours at Victoria University, her Master of Professional Psychology and Master of Professional Psychology Practice at The Cairnmillar Institute. Sarah holds registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a fully registered Psychologist and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
